Basic Supplements You Should Take - Not Just as an Athlete

Supplements aren’t just for athletes - they can benefit anyone. While sport increases nutritional demands, even a regular, active lifestyle can benefit from a few basic supplements that support energy, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
1. Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine boosts strength, power, and muscle growth, but it’s not only for athletes: it can also support brain health and daily energy levels. A standard dose of 3–5 g daily is sufficient, whether you train intensely or just want to support your general performance.
2. Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3s (EPA and DHA) help reduce inflammation, support heart and brain health, and aid joint recovery. Beneficial for everyone, not just athletes. A daily intake of 1–3 g combined EPA and DHA is recommended.
3. Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant supporting the immune system, collagen production, and recovery. Even non-athletes can benefit from a daily 1000 mg dose, especially under stress or during cold and flu season.
4. Magnesium
